The best version of yourself, without compromise

Want to train like AJ? Bad Idea!

Let’s get this out of the way first.

This isn’t a personal attack on Anthony Joshua, one of Britain’s most devastating pugilists ever to turn pro.

Nor is it an attack on his training methods, which (if you’ve seen any of the footage) are on the cutting edge of science and attrition.

There’s a reason he’s a two-time world champion…

But while it might be tempting to emulate some of his workouts, especially with the intention of achieving a similar build, there’s one undeniable fact that publications like Men’s Health and GQ are remiss to point out.

Anthony Joshua looks like Anthony Joshua.

In spite of training like Anthony Joshua.

Wait, what?

What does this mean?

It means that AJ was always going to look very much like AJ, no matter what kind of training he did!

Especially if any of his training involves resistance training and, as a modern-era boxer, it assuredly does.

Some people out there are simply genetic phenoms, which allows them to gain a huge advantage in strength based, ballistic sports like boxing, MMA and rugby.

This is simply a fact.

And it continues to be the case, that people like AJ are represented in magazines, social media posts and the online space in ways that make it seem like emulation should be encouraged for similar results.

It shouldn’t be.

Of course, there is good and bad news here.

Bad news first: you aren’t AJ.

Or at least, you don’t have his genetics.

But the good news is, there is plenty you can do to swing the pendulum back in your favour to develop a mind-blowing, best version of yourself physique.

And the even better news is you don’t (*shouldn’t) train like AJ to stand your best chance of success.

This means you can cut the Men’s Health bs, work with precision and intention, and probably save yourself a lot of time and avoid injury along the way.

Train smart, train precise, and you’ll do so much better than following any cookie cutter program.

if it’s based on a celeb.
