ABOUT

An assumption about any online coach might be that they’ve always been gifted physically or come from a sporting background. Or had innate confidence in themselves and their physique.

Well, I can (confidently) tell you, none of the above applies to me!

Not one bit.

My journey into this profession wasn’t planned, but my time getting started in the gym *was* born out of a deep frustration with how I looked and felt.

As having always been the skinny guy - never picked for sports teams and always too tall for my build - the only thing I was focused on after school was this: get in the gym and transform myself.

From age 18 onwards it became all-consuming, and my sole pursuit was to overcome my perceived limitations.

While my peers were out having fun, enjoying the experiences of early adulthood and building new friendships and relationships…

I was “happy” to let all of this slide.

I lost touch with friends.

I couldn’t keep a consistent job.

Developed an anti-social sleeping pattern and dependency on sleep meds.

My relationship with my family really suffered, and I spiralled into a deep depression.

I’d put all my energy into the gym, essentially putting my own life on pause.

I realised later that no matter how you feel, you can’t simply unplug yourself from your own life to build your body and your confidence.

This has become an important aspect of my approach to coaching.

My career started in Somerset in 2010, and within two years I’d moved to Wimbledon, London where my career really started to take off.

It was here where I was exposed to a wide range of clients and goals and also where I made my best gains personally.

Over the years, my own weight has fluctuated between 85kg and 105kg, through multiple phases of muscle gain and shredding.

Many times, exploring different approaches being nutrition, training styles or modalities to see what truly worked and what was simply a “Men’s Health” ruse.

Some paths I went down resulted in dead ends and wasted time.

With some I struck gold.

And while I was constantly pushing and learning the best approach for myself, I was also able to deliver this to my clients - some of whom saw even better results than I did!

I have cultivated my training approach through a lived in and professional experience spanning more than 15 years: I’ve encountered and prevailed over every plateau, failed hundreds upon hundreds of times before I’ve succeeded and fine-tuned a system that ensures that every ounce of effort invested nets you a tangible result.

And most of all, I’m able to provide a structure that doesn’t require you to put your life on hold.

I made all of these mistakes, so you don’t have to, and you now have the opportunity to succeed much faster than I did.
